Facility Updates for
Clarkson Public Schools

The residents of Clarkson school district take great pride in the quality of our graduates. It's time again to make an investment in our school facility to provide students with a safe and secure building that supports the best possible education and prepares them for a successful future in changing times. On November 5, our community will decide on urgent facility needs with a bond not to exceed $14,950,000.

What the Bond Will Fund   â€‹

Identifiable, Secure Entrance: A new entrance with a secure vestibule will create a protected buffer between the outside and the main building.

Career and Technical Education (CTE): Employers face dire shortages of skilled workers. A CTE addition will create classrooms where students can learn valuable skills for their future careers.

Improved Student Drop Off: With a single entrance and new location for the elementary wing, students will have a shorter, more protected walk to the school for drop-off and pick-up.

Safer Playground: Elementary students currently play near the propane tanks. The new design provides a playground with flat green space.

Accessible Storm Shelter: The existing storm shelter does not meet current codes. A new storm shelter will be code compliant and accessible for all students and staff.

Elevator for Accessibility: A new elevator will finally allow all students, staff and visitors to be able to easily navigate all floors of the school.

More Classrooms & Better Flow: The school is out of space and some classes are even being taught in the cafeteria! New classroom additions will alleviate overcrowding and enhance the overall flow of the school.
